Profile, tasks, journal, activities, and health metrics are stored only on your device (browser IndexedDB) — never on our servers. Clearing your browser data, or switching to a different browser or device, means starting fresh unless you've exported a backup yourself (Settings → Handle Data).
We don't send your data anywhere in the background. It only leaves your device when you use a specific feature that needs to — and only to the one service that feature is for:
Garmin and Gemini don't allow a browser to call them directly, so those two requests pass through our own server for a moment — it uses your credentials to make the call and returns the result, without ever writing your credentials or the data that comes back to a database or disk. One visitor's request never has access to another's. A small amount of non-identifying diagnostic detail (e.g. which gear item a sync step failed on) may briefly appear in our server logs for troubleshooting — never credentials, never health data.
Two things bypass our server entirely, called directly by your browser: turning your coordinates into a city name (BigDataCloud, when the weather widget uses your location) and the map tiles under an activity's route (CartoDB, when you open one). Neither carries anything beyond the coordinates needed to render what you're looking at.
Your Garmin credentials are sent directly to Garmin. We never store them on our servers. Garmin has temporarily paused new developer API access with no published timeline, so we currently connect through a third-party interface to sync your data. We'll integrate Garmin's official API as soon as access reopens. Rate limits are in place to keep this reliable and avoid overloading the connection. As with any third-party interface, some risk exists. By connecting, you accept this risk and release us from liability for any resulting account issues.
This app runs on Cloudflare's servers, which also serves a cookieless, anonymous page-view count (Cloudflare Web Analytics) — separate from the optional in-app usage-analytics toggle (Settings → Privacy, and here during onboarding). Opting in shares a random device ID with onboarding-completed/days-visited/streak counts; opting out stops that and deletes what was already collected. You're responsible for your own data, backups, and any third-party accounts you connect. This app is newly launched and under active development — expect the occasional rough edge, and feel free to report anything broken via Settings → Feedback.
